Mercedes Heads List of Microsoft Manufacturing Awards
The 2024 Microsoft Intelligent Manufacturing Awards (MIMA) were handed out at the Hanover Messe Trade Fair.

The IT colossus and consultants Roland Berger named Mercedes-Benz their overall winner for the carmaker’s MO360 Data Platform.
“The solution democratizes data not only by simplifying and standardizing data access via a self-service data marketplace, but also by driving digitalization 'from the bottom up' and generating enthusiasm at all levels,” the jury stated.
Swedish battery maker Northvolt, which has just launched a billion-euro expansion in northern Germany, was honored in the category Innovate! for its Particle Trap System for monitoring technical cleanliness. It combines process improvements, a user-friendly app and state-of-the-art technologies.
Precision farming company Malvern Panalytical from the central German city of Hesse won the category Scale!
Adaptive worker assistance firm WILO from Dortmund came out on top in the category Add Value!
Austrian pulp and paper business ANDRITZ was honored in the category Distrupt!
And Danish food waste and energy consumption reduction company Danfoss won the category Sustainability!
