Brief description of the contract:

In the framework of the German Financial Cooperation with Albania, funds for investment projects in the urban areas of the Albanian water supply and sewerage sector have been committed. A complementary financial contribution has been provided by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO. The Programme “Municipal Infrastructure IV” (BMZ No. 2012 65 867 and 2020 61 406) encompasses various project locations, among which the water utility of Kamza. The improvement of the water supply system is in the focus of the investments foreseen at the project location of Kamza.

Planned Material Supply, Installation and Civil Works:

Water Supply Measures - Supply, Delivery and Installation of pipework material, for transmission mains and pump lines with approximate length of 2.3 km (DI DN 300 – DI DN 500 mm) and distribution pipes (Pipes PE-100 OD 63 – OD 225) with approximate overall length of 44 km, electrofusion fittings, ductile iron fittings, valves, domestic water meter, bulk water meter and check valves plus the installation of service connections (approx. 3330 Pcs – PERC OD 20 – OD 63mm). Furthermore, the supply and delivery of electro-mechanical equipment (pumps, surge vessels) for installation in new constructed and existing pump stations and rehabilitation of pump stations, spring captures and reservoir. Supply, Delivery and Installation of disinfection equipment (dosing pumps, suction lance and the like) and containerized disinfection stations (sodium hypochlorite). Implementation of a SCADA System. New construction of an Administration Building including new construction of storage facilities.
