Project

The IC’s assignment for Lot 1 – 5 is to provide services to the MoPWH to ensure an effective realization of Project 1 with the following main investment components (to be treated indicatively):

Component 1-A: Construction of up to 20 new schools
Component 1-B: Rehabilitation/extension of up to 10 existing schools
Component 2: Procurement and installation of equipment and furniture
(Important Note: the ICs responsibility related to Component 2 is limited to Stage 1 and Stage 2 only)

The targeted schools of Lot 1-5 are located all over the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

Requested Services:

The IC’s assignment is divided into five different planning and implementation stages with a budget check on fund availability after stage 2 with potential impact on the scope of the subsequent Stages 3 – 5 (list is to be treated indicatively):

• Stage 1 - Inception and preparation: Baseline Data Assessment (incl. surveying); Examination of previous site selection (implemented by the IC of SCP III-IV); Identification of general Programme conditions
• Stage 2 - Design and Tender Documents for Construction and Furniture: Concept-, Preliminary-, Detailed- and Final Design ready for construction; Preparation of (PQ and-) Tender Documents (FIDIC-Pink Book for construction works), O&M Concept
• Stage 3 – Services during Tendering & Contract Award: Tender Process Works & Supplies; Bid Evaluation, Pre-Award Discussion & Contract Award
• Stage 4 – Construction Supervision: Supervision of Construction Works & Supplies; FIDIC Engineer, Preparation of O&M
• Stage 5 – Supervision of remedy works during Defects Liability Period (DLP) and Project Closure: Consulting Services in DLP & Project Closure; Assistance in Monitoring of O&M
