Consulting Services, Road Construction Project

Brief description of the Contract:

• Consulting Services for Project Management, Construction Supervision and Contract Administration of the Regional Mombasa Port Road Access Project, Mombasa – Mariakani (A109) Highway Project, Lot 2: Kwa Jomvu – Mariakani (30.4 km). Services to be provided by the Consultant include Project Management, Site Supervision and Contract Administration to ensure that the road is constructed within budget and programme, all quality standards and safeguards requirements are met at all times, and measurements and payments are certified confirming the actually achieved progress. The Consultant will also certify invoices, support the PEA with withdrawal applications to the Banks, support the PEA with the overall project administration which include procurement support for related services. During the Defects Liability Period, which is equal to the first year of the 5-year maintenance period, the Consultant shall support the PEA in the implementation of the performance-based maintenance and the monitoring of the service level requirements of the maintenance operations. The Consultancy assignment ends after the first year of the maintenance
  period (end of DLP). The total duration of the assignment is 42 months.
