Brief description of the Contract:

The Project concerns the establishment of a new campus for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Amman (HTU+ TVET campus), upgrading of two selected Vocational Training Institutes (VTIs) in Irbid and related consultancy services. Additionally, an Accompanying Measure (AC) is foreseen.

Requested Services

Investment Measure: Design, tender, site supervision, handover for new Technical and Vocational Training Campus in Amman and for 2 existing VTI’s in Irbid.

HTU Campus plus Two VTI’s – Design, Tender, Construction, Fit Out and Handover:

• Multi-Disciplinary Consulting Services: Masterplan, concept to final design ready for construction, preparation of tender documents and specifications, assistance to tendering.
• Equipment planning and tendering for Campus.
• Construction and equipment installation supervision.
• Assistance during defects liability period.
• Checking and approval of existing designs
• Reporting

Accompanying Measure: Development of a concept, coordination, technical and financial contract management, monitoring and reporting of the Accompanying Measure.

Individual activities to be financed from the Accompanying Measure:

• Management advisory support for PEA.
• Supporting PEA in further developing /adjusting training programmes (i.e. through provision of training materials).
• Continuous advisory support at workshop level for capacity development of TVET teaching personnel.
• Marketing campaign for TVET in Jordan
• Scholarships for TVET students in the programme
