Construction/Consulting, Water Supply and Wasterwater Treatment

Requested services: 

for the securing Windhoek water supply, Gammams direct potable reclamation plant and securing Windhoek water supply ii, Gammams and Otjomuise wastewater treatment plants  and associated facilities project.

Lot 1: Consultant for DBO and construction contracts

The Consultancy Services for the construction of an additional Direct Potable Reclamation Plant (DPR 2), and related linkages and site development measures as well as for the rehabilitation and extension of Gammams and Otjomuise WWTPs (GOWWTP) covering (among other tasks): market sounding and development concepts for the plants, design, tendering, construction supervision/contract management for

• Lot 1.1 – Construction of linkages and site development measures; 
• Lot 1.2 – New construction of DPR 2 (DBO Contract);
• Lot 1.3 – Rehabilitation and upgrade of NGWRP/DPR 1 (DBO Contract); 
• Lot 1.4 – Expansion and upgrade of GOWWTP (DBO Contract);
• Lot 1.5: Further consulting services, i.e. preparation of legal opinions, additional studies, research;
• Lot 1.6: Completion and Implementation of an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment.

Lot 2: Monitoring Consultant

The Monitoring Consultant evaluates the annual technical and financial implementation of the sub-projects under the DBO contracts and the use of funds.

Lot 3: Training Consultant

The tasks of the Training Consultant (TC) include the implementation of project-related training and further education measures for the strengthening of the Infra-structure, Water, and Technical Services Department and the Economic Development & Community Services Department of the CoW in terms of improved technical and managerial competences. The training courses shall start at the beginning of the project, since the results, such as DBO contract management, are important for the sustainable success of the measures.
