German Drone Maker to Become Unicorn
Defensetech company Quantum Systems is reportedly concluding a financing round that will take its value past USD one billion.

The young Munich company is in the final stages of negotiations, and no definitive sum was named. But various German media report that Quantum will achieve unicorn status. Exact information is expected at the end of April.
The sum taken in by the company, which was founded by in 2015 by a former German military officer, is the second largest ever for a European dual-use form. The largest went to another German unicorn, Helsing.
Quantum specializes in dual-use artificial intelligence and drones. Originally developed for use in agriculture, they have been deployed in Ukraine’s defense against Russia.
