German PropTech Reaches New High
A just-published report by Internet platform Blackprint has determined that, for the first time, there are more than one thousand property tech start-ups in Germany.

According to the report 106 fledgling firms were founded in the sector in the first half of 2024. That represented a 22 percent rise and more than in all of 2023. Blackprint puts the total number of current proptech start-ups in Germany at 1090.
“The proptech sector is heating up,” said Blackprint Head of Scouting and Market Malte Westphal.
23 percent of the newly founded firms specialized in energy efficiency. 21 percent each worked in the areas of new construction/materials and renovations.
Proptech companies were most active in Germany’s seven property hotspots: Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich and Stuttgart. But activity is also increasing in other metropolitan regions, the report found.
