Consulting Services, Support Fund for the Development of Communes

Project:

 The project is part of the "Peace and Social Cohesion" programme between the Government of Benin and the Federal Government of Germany. More specifically, the two governments have agreed on a programme entitled "Good Governance and Digitalisation of Public Services (ProGRES)". Together, they aim to achieve the following overall impacts:

 a) Increase transparency and efficiency in public administration and public finance;
 b) Improve conditions for public and private investments.

The project consists of two components:

a) Component I: The "Investment Component" focuses on the direct co-financing of the unearmarked FADeC investment fund.

b) Component II: The "Resilience Component" aims to support the communes bordering the Sahel region to strengthen their resilience, enhance social cohesion, and thereby prevent the spread of destabilising influences in the region.

Consulting Services:

The Consultant is expected to assist the Project Management Unit with a team of long- and short-term experts in implementing the two components of the program.
