Consulting Services, Conservation and Sustainable Use of Biodiversity in Priority Protected Areas in Ethiopia

Brief description of the Contract:

The project concerns the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity in priority protected areas in Ethiopia including Bale Mountain National Park (BMNP) and Simien Mountain National Park (SNMP). The purpose of the project is to effectively manage priority protected areas in collaboration and partnership with the local communities and other stakeholders and to provide the necessary infrastructure. This is to improve the livelihood of the local population and economic development of the country.

Requested Services:

• Consulting services are required to support EWCA in the management of the project cycle from planning to implementation and in project coordination. While project implementation on the protected area level will be carried out by international non-governmental organisations, and the Consultant is expected to assist the project partners in fields such as overall coordination, planning of conservation measures including infrastructure, procurement and supervision of contracts for work and services, financial management, Monitoring & Evaluation, and reporting.
