Construction Services, Rehabilitation of Water Supply and Sewer/Stormwater Network in the City of Vani

Brief Description of the Contract:

• Construction of the water network, sewerage network, and storm water network in Vani, e. g. construction of the following works

Rehabilitation of Intake

• Source protection measures
• Refurbishment of shallow wells
• Entire reconstruction of the intake pumping station incl. chlorination unit, operator/guard room, and SCADA/electrical room, and all required equipment
• Replacement of pumps and related pipework and mechanical equipment
• Installation of flow meters
• Replacement of chlorination unit
• Replacement of the SCADA system
• Refurbishment of civil structures
• Replacement of transformer and power supply
• Decommissioning/dismantling and disposal of old buildings at the territory incl. equipment

Reservoir

• Replacement of pipework and water meter in the inlet chamber
• New equipment at the entrance manhole
• Construction of a new reservoir

Water Supply Network
In the existing supply area:

• Replacement of approx 14 km pressure pipes in the distribution network including reconnection of approx. 360 house connections.
• Laying of approx. 3 km of new pipes including installation of approx. 65 house connections.
• Installation of 4 pressure-reducing valves

In the extension areas:

• Laying of 22 km of new pipes including installation of 360 house connections
• Construction of a new booster pumping station
• Construction of a new elevated tank (35 m3)

Sewer Network

• Construction of approx. 2.5 km main collector
• Construction of one main pumping station and 15 small manhole pumping stations
• Laying gravity sewer network (approx. 40 km in total length) with approx. 1.400 inspection manholes and 1.200 house connections
• Laying pressurized pipes (approx. 6 km in total length)
• Reinstatement of all asphalt or concrete road surface

Storm water Network

• Construction of pipes, approx. 0.3 km (corrugated HDPE pipes)
• Replacement of approx. 0.4 km of the existing channels
• Construction of concrete canals, approx. 6.6 km
• Construction of 19 concrete manholes
• Construction of 6 free-flow concrete outlets
