Consulting Services - Urban Development, Violence Prevention and Education

Brief description of the Contract

Within the framework of this Project of the German Official Financial Cooperation with the Republic of Honduras, the German Development Bank (KfW Entwicklungsbank) will finance investments into youth specific infrastructure and design of open areas for creating “safe spaces” in low income communities with high indicators of violence, combined with measures to improve social and professional competences of young people. The objective of the Project is to promote the leading participation of young people in the revitalization and use of safe spaces in selected communities of prioritized municipalities sustainably.

Project Measures:
The Project will include (i) the construction, improvement and equipping of social infrastructure and public spaces for young people, (ii) the training of young people in work and social skills, (iii) the strengthening of the capacities of relevant actors in the implementation of the Project and, (iv) consulting services to support the institutions involved in the implementation and monitoring of the Project

Requested Services:

• among others, advice of IDECOAS-FHIS and the other local institutions involved in the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the Project, in the prioritization, participatory planning, recruitment and supervision of infrastructure measures and educational activities, as well as monitoring the proper use of the German Financial Cooperation funds
