Project Implementation Consultant (PIC) for the Hydropower Project Bakaru I&II

Brief description of the contract:

The Bakaru I & II HEPP (128 & 144 MW) is located at the Mamasa river on the southern/western part of Sulawesi Island. The existing Bakaru I HEPP will be extended to Bakaru I & II HPP. Parallel to the existing structures a new headrace tunnel, pressure
shaft/tunnel and power house will be built. Also the existing Switchyard has to be modified.

The consulting services of the Project Implementation Consultant (PIC) are split in two (2)
Stages:
Stage I covers the services required for the preparation of the detailed design and in the
procurement of the contractors (Civil and E&M) to rehabilitate HEPP Bakaru I and to realise the Bakaru II Hydro Electric Power Project.
Stage II covers the services of supervision of the contractors to rehabilitate HEPP Bakaru I and to realise the Bakaru II Hydro Electric Power Project.
The Consultant acts as an Project Implementation Consultant on taking over responsibility for the own engineering/design parts for the entire Implementation phase until Commissioning, PAC, COD and FAC. He shall review, supervise and follow up the design,
implementation schedule and prepare the required documents and certificates.
The Consultant shall also support PLN in a project execution according to International best practice and World Bank guidelines with respect to social, environmental and occupation, health and safety aspects.
