Brief description of the Contract
The Consultant shall carry out pre-screening, feasibility studies including conceptual designs for water and wastewater projects in the North of Jordan. The Consultancy shall develop along the following steps:
− Identification of measures in water supply/wastewater disposal with an amount of 120 million € in regions with a high density of Syrian refugees
− Screening, prioritisation of measures on pre-set criteria approved by WAJ / KfW resulting in an investment of 60 Mio. Euro
− Elaboration of GIS system / layers analysing the situation of water supply and wastewater services in the supply area of the Yarmouk Water Companies (YWC), concluding where the water supply and wastewater situation for the population is particularly socio-economic data/poverty situation, density of Syrian refugees weak. Using the information of the GIS-analyses for the prioritisation of the measures
− Studying the feasibility of the screened measures (reduced feasibility study / partly conceptual analysis) and preparation of preliminary design for the selected measures.
− Elaboration of an ESIA and ESMP
− Analysing the necessity / benefit and added-value to carry-out a full-fledged hydraulic analysis / modelling of the water supply network of the YWC.
