Gender and Social Awareness Consultant for Water Loss Reduction Programme

Requested Services: 

 The Gender and Social Awareness Consultant (GCAS) shall assist WAJ in preparing and implementing a gender strategy for the Water Loss Reduction Programme  and support the implementation of the project and its sustainability through various types of community engagements and assistance in case of conflicts as well as with other tasks foreseen in the Project´s scope including:

• Prepare a project-related conflict analysis 
• Prepare a Gender Action Plan (GAP) 
• Develop strategies that are sensitive to the unique needs and challenges faced by women and vulnerable groups. 
• Design and conduct campaigns to raise citizen awareness, participation and social accountability 
• Promote behavioral change and integration of improved water use practices 
• Assistance in conflict resolution in case of conflict between PBC contractor and local communities and individuals;
• Strengthen/promote activities of “Water Wise Women” 
• Implement activities to increase the role of women as participants and beneficiaries of the Project;
• Coordinate the gender related activities with the Gender Department at MWI; 
• Support Employer in reporting to KfW 
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement activities, collect feedback from participants, and make recommendations for improvement; and
• Collaboration with local authorities as needed
