Brief description of the Contract:

In the framework of the “Sustainable Management of Natural Resources Project (PMRN) III” which is part of the Official German Financial Cooperation with Paraguay, the KfW is financing measures for the adoption of direct sowing by family farming in the departments of Concepción, San Pedro, Caazapá and Paraguarí.

The objective of the project is to increase the agricultural production of family farms through direct sowing and the conservation and recovery of agricultural soils, contributing to the sustainable increase of their income and improving adaptation to climate changes.

• The consulting services for the aforementioned Project will include, among others, the support and advice of the Project Executing Unit (PIU) of MAG (Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock) and the other institutions involved in the preparation, implementation and Project monitoring, the technical assistance necessary to ensure quality and professionalism in all products and processes of planning, implementation and monitoring of the project, advice on the application of KfW procedures and standards, as well as monitoring the proper use of the funds of the German Financial Cooperation through a Disposition Fund.
