Project Measures
The services requested under this 36-month assignment aim to support Somali micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through Gargaara as a financial institution. The project aims to contribute to the formalisation and modernisation of the financial services sector by providing loans based on transparent, objective and economic criteria, thereby creating and sustaining employment opportunities through improved access to financial services. Access to and use of demand-driven financial services tailored to the needs of MSMEs by Gargaara is to be institutionalised and provided on a sustainable basis.

- Procurement and Contract Management (regarding business development service providers and technical assistance providers for the partner financial institutions)
- Management of the Disposition Fund
- Strengthening Gargaara’s Role in the Somali Financial Sector
- Capacity Building within Gargaara
- Organizing one Study Excursion
- Establishment of Environmental and Social Monitoring System
- Adjustment of Operational Manual
