Consulting Services, Water Sector (Climate Resilience Project)

Brief description of the Contract:

· Module 1 (Strategic Consultant, SC, Lot 1): Strategic support to MoWI: Steer and monitor water and agriculture related investment projects, establish inter-sectoral policy implementation mechanism, carry out paradigm shift in MoWI, implement climate-resilient actions into daily tasks, capacity development.

· Module 2 (Implementation Consultant, IC, Lot 2): Technical and Institutional support to project implementation in Simiyu Region: Resilient water supply by construction of water intake, water treatment plant (835 m³/h), bulk water supply system, construct water supply system in 3 towns and several villages; Preventive public sanitation by construction of public and institutional toilets, carry out IEC campaigns, construct demonstration facilities, construct faecal sludge treatment plants; Improved climate smart agriculture by supporting several climate smart agriculture practices in an open-programme approach (e.g. construction of small dams, small scale irrigation etc.); Assistance to the establishment of Community Owned Water Supply Organisations (COWSO); Capacity building for concerned administrations and utilities
