Healthy Growth Forecast for German ICT
Germany’s digital industry association Bitkom expects the information and telecommunications technology market to expand 4.6 percent in 2025.

The ICT sector will continue to outperform the German economy as a whole. The Bitkom association predicts the market will rise to EUR 232.8 billion euros. ICT turnover in Germany was EUR 222.6 billion in 2024.
The positive numbers are being driven by artificial intelligence. Business with AI platforms is expected to grow by a whopping 45 percent this year. Turnover in cloud services is also tipped to grow by 17 percent in 2025.
“The digital economy offers a ray of light in difficult times, increasing turnover and creating jobs,” said Bitkom President Ralf Wintergerst. “The ICT branch has now become Germany's largest industrial employer. According to the 2025 prognoses, business for most IT and telecommunications companies will develop positively. IT is heading in the right direction.”
