The 365-meter-high flagship project is under construction in the Lusatia region of the eastern German regional state of Brandenburg.

The project will cost between EUR 20 and 30 million and is being financed by the Federal Agency for Disruptive Technologies (Sprind).
The wind turbine uses conventionally produced 65-meter-long rotor blades. The tower can be extended like a telescope to its full height, which allows it to take advantage of high wind speeds at greater altitudes.
“At that height there are practically no areas any more with a lack of wind,” said Martin Chaumet, the head of the Sprind subsidiary Beventum. “For example, we go to industrial areas.”
When completed the wind turbine will be the second tallest structure in Germany after the TV tower in Berlin. The turbine is scheduled to go operational in the summer of 2025.
