Embodied artificial intelligence automotive pioneer Wayve is establishing a testing and development hub in Stuttgart.
Mar 04, 2025
The expansion follows a one-billion-dollar plus Series C financing round. Wayve has previously launched set up testing programs in the United States and the United Kingdom.
The Stuttgart facility will concentrate on Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features, such as lane change assistance and automated driving capabilities for future production-ready solutions. The technology being developed by the company learns from data, adapting to new unseen driving environments without reliance on high-definition maps or complex sensors.
“2025 is a year of global expansion for Wayve, and we are incredibly excited to establish operations in Germany,” said Wayve co-founder and CEO Alex Kendall in a statement. “With its rich automotive heritage and deep engineering expertise, Germany is a perfect place to accelerate the development and deployment of AI-powered driving technology. I look forward to partnering with Germany’s world-leading manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers to bring safe, scalable, and production-ready AI software to vehicles worldwide.”
