The IMF AI Preparedness Index ranked German by behind Singapore and the United States as the country best ready for the new technology.
The index evaluated nations in four categories: digital infrastructure, innovation & integration, human capital & guidelines, and regulation and ethics.
“The impact of AI is also likely to differ significantly across countries at different levels of development or with different economic structures,” the study stated. “Advanced economies, with their mature industries and service-driven economies, typically have a higher concentration of jobs in sectors that require complex cognitive tasks. These economies are therefore both more susceptible to, yet better positioned to benefit from, AI innovations.”
The market value of AI in Germany is projected to be EUR 11.7 billion in 2024. The market is expected to grow annually by more than 15 percent between now and 2030.
